Terms are net 30 days upon approval with approved credit.  To avoid delays in processing orders for first-time customers, please fill out our credit application completely and fax it to our Credit Department at 781-344-1656 or e-mail to credit@matsinc.com.

All sizes are approximate. Carpet surfaces have a 1% tolerance in width and length.  All vinyl-backed mats are finished with a factory edge unless otherwise specified at the time of order. On all custom widths, we charge cut pricing levels for the full standard width of each product (e.g., on a 42” mat, we will charge for a full 48”). In addition, we charge to the next highest 1’ increment for special lengths (e.g. on a 5’6” mat, we will charge for a full 6’ length) and we do not produce below 1” increments.  Edging and nosing widths are included in calculating complete mat sizes.

Pricing & Packaging
All prices are FOB shipping point.  Prices are subject to change without notice.  All individual mats are packaged one unit per carton, unless otherwise specified on your order.  Roll goods are shipped with an inner core and high-quality wrapping. *

Returned Goods Policy

Requests for all returns of merchandise must be made to our Customer Service Department. All returned goods will be assessed a 30% restocking charge and freight must be pre-paid.  Returns can be made up to 30 days after the original ship date. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-628-7462 for a Return Materials Authorization (RMA).  Items returned without authorization or by collect freight will be refused.  Items produced to customer specification, custom cuts, specialty items, logos, discontinued items, seconds, obsolete and used products are non-returnable


Orders may be cancelled verbally within 24 hours of the order being placed.  Unless we have made an internal error, custom orders cannot be cancelled once the manufacturing process has started. Stock items cancelled after shipping will be subject to terms of Returned Goods Policy above.

Damaged Goods / Shortages

All orders should be counted and inspected before they are accepted. Any damages or shortages must be documented on the proof of delivery receipt.  Once signed for, the customer is responsible for the accountability, accuracy and quality of the material received.  Please contact Mats Inc. immediately to file a claim and schedule an inspection.  Remember to keep your original packaging.  We also recommend that you take pictures of the damaged goods whenever possible. Customer must keep material until carrier investigation is completed. Normal investigation time frames are 60-90 days. Please contact our customer service department for the status of your claim.


Mats Inc. provides a basic warranty against defects on products featured in our catalog for a period of one year.  Please ask your Sales Representative about extended warranty protection on specific products.  The product must be maintained according to the maintenance instructions.  This warranty does not cover cuts, burns, shedding, pilling, staining, soiling, matting of fiber, fading or flattening of the pattern, or fiber loss due to abnormal use or application. Fiber loss is defined as pile reduction that exceeds 15% in any one area, or to the point the backing is showing through to the top.  This warranty does not cover nosing.  The obligation under this warranty is limited to the original user and to the replacement, repair, or pro-rated refund of said product.  Materials must be returned freight prepaid when requested for inspection to obtain this warranty.  Freight charges will be credited when goods are deemed warrantable.  The labor costs of removing and/or reinstalling replacement materials and associated freight costs are not part of this warranty.  Mats Inc. reserves the right to determine final warranty coverage.
