Color Report Fall 2015: New York Fashion WeekPosted: Feb 2015 Posted by: Mats Inc.

This month’s New York Fashion Week brought us a new palette for this fall’s hottest design colors.

An intriguing mix of muted neutrals and bold colors, this year’s palette spans well beyond fashion design and can be readily incorporated into building and interior designs. Neutral wood tones on the floor and grays, whites and tans for predominant wall spaces allow for limitless design potential with colorful accent walls, bright furniture pieces and vibrant artwork.PANTONE-Fall-2015-colors

Here’s a little inspiration for the trending colors with wood pattern flooring for Hotels, Restaurants and Retail.

Boutique Hotel

This unique boutique hotel features modern amenities and suite living. While a variety of this fall’s hottest colors are all incorporated in one suite, the cohesion of the design is not lost. Throughout the living spaces, PURline Elements planks in deep chocolate and airy gray hardwoods offer a neutral base flooring onto which colorful ottomans, pillows and hanging pieces are added.

Modern Retail

With walls layered in monochromatic prints and vibrant original works, this gallery retail space provides a neutral canvas on which the artists’ work shines. PURline Elements planks flooring in a honey wood look not only compliment the white and gray walls but offer a warm and rustic element to an otherwise stark, modern space.

Sophisticated Café

Undergoing recent renovations, this once dated diner has been reborn as a sophisticated café. The eatery features stone elements throughout complimented by like tan tones and pops of orange. The Floorworks® planks in Colonial Pine harmonize well with the Oak Buff bar and booth areas while creating the cozy, homelike atmosphere for which this family-run business is known.
