Designing a new facility can be demanding enough, but when you are designing to achieve LEED certification, the challenges can seem endless. If you have worked on these projects, you know that tackling the LEED strategy, choosing the right materials and tracking credits are just some of the many requirements adding time and complexity to the project.

As an alternative or supplement to hiring a LEED consultant, there are software solutions that make it easier to plan, organize and manage your LEED strategy, ultimately helping you save time and reduce costs.

  • Software add-ons to BIM. There are software products, such as Webcor, that integrate with BIM and pull data, such as recycled content and manufacturing location, eliminating the need to maintain 2 databases.
  • Tracking Software. Software like Greengrade or Newforma Project Cloud offer tracking features to chart credits you are working towards without losing sight of the credits already achieved.
  • Best practices. Share what worked so that it can be used to solve similar problems and save valuable time.
