We are seeking a Product Support Specialist.

Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the Product Support Specialist has the primary responsibility for generating, updating and maintaining documents and marketing/sales materials for all Mats Inc. products to ensure all features, specifications, technical details and related procedures are current.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of all services and programs for all flooring product lines.
• Systematically monitor manufacturers’ product specifications and documentation for changes, updates, advancements, etc.
• Understand industry and testing standards for their product category or categories and appropriateness for vertical markets.
• General understanding of sustainability and LEED with specific understanding of credits that pertain to Mats Inc and flooring.
• Competitive monitoring and analysis to include product specifications, performance, warranty, pricing, value proposition.
• Produce/Maintain accurate and current product documentation (CSI, technical, installation, maintenance, warranty)
• Responsibility for accuracy and current product information to web site, sell sheets, LUT/price list and printed materials.
• Communicate product information and changes to areas of the organization as appropriate including monthly Marketing Bulletin.
• Work with internal teams and vendors to solve problems, answer questions and provide information related to products in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
• Escalate issues as necessary to appropriate management personnel.
• Maintain collaborative partnerships with suppliers and internal colleagues.
• Perform research as necessary to effectively execute responsibilities.
• Provide monthly and annual reports as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and creative thinking
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with all levels of management and build partnerships
• Extremely detail oriented and accurate
• Highly organized
• Flexible/adapt easily to changing priorities
• Exceptional follow through
• Ability to multi-task and recognize critical / time sensitive information from the flow of routine information
• Ability to participate and work in a team environment and to work independently with limited direction
• Resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree or comparable years of experience
• 3-5 years of  experience
