Mats Inc is expanding the National Sales Team and looking for experienced National Strategic Account Managers. Our goal is an organization of smart, driven, professionals committed to delivering the best flooring solutions to our National customers.

You should be quick on your feet, adaptable to change and ready to take ownership of your role. You must be comfortable consulting and negotiating with C-level executives at some of the largest and most successful Healthcare Organizations and Architectural and Design Firms in the world.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for driving success with customers, strong consultative and customer-facing skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit that focuses on execution with speed and quality. Frequent travel to customer locations is required.

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager – National Healthcare responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with decision makers in large national healthcare establishments. He/She will consult and uncover opportunities by presenting Mats Inc.’s full product lines as a solution to their performance, design and construction needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work with large, national healthcare customers directly and indirectly, as appropriate, to develop and create new business.
  • Develop trusted relationships with decision makers in each account, understand their strategic goals, and develop plans to partner on these goals.
  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with business decision makers (Owners, Designers, Construction and Facilities) at major healthcare end-users, their affiliated architectural firms, general contractors and flooring contractors throughout the US .
  • Connect with potential customers through cold-calling, networking, referrals, and incoming leads.
  • Prepare and implement strategic sales plan by client.
  • Be proficient at managing multiple projects at different stages of sales development.
  • Work with Inside Sales and Product Specialists to oversee logistics for local, regional and national projects and programs.
  • Prepare presentations to present to key decision makers.
  • Provide detailed, industry-specific technical expertise on flooring materials evaluation & selection.
  • Investigate competitor products and client relationships.
  • Manage the day-to-day administrative responsibilities efficiently and in a timely fashion.
  • Forecast sales revenue by quarter and create sales reports as required.
  • Conduct sales calls to follow-up on all identified healthcare targets.
  • Forecast activities and opportunities using Sales Force (CRM).
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales budget.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events and sales meetings as required.

Qualifications and competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and credibility with C-level executives
  • Dynamic, persistent, self-starter with good business acumen and driven to succeed
  • Ability to adapt presentation and style to a variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to read/analyze market conditions and provide compelling reasons for product selections, as well as competitive pricing to secure and hold specified business
  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10% of team/org)
  • Well versed in Salesforce.com or managing sales cycle through a CRM
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Must be hard working, have track record of success, and demonstrated drive for achievement
  • Ability to demonstrate superior product knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to operate both independently and as a member of a team
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM technology

Education and/or experience:

  • BA or BS degree
  • 10+ years proven successful sales experience ( 5+ selling to national healthcare accounts)
  • Proven experience selling to end-users in the healthcare market
  • EDAC-certified is a plus
